Queen Keisha was to busy trying to HO herself out to Joe Biden to give a Damn about the people or the police officers in Atlanta. She knew that the area around the Wendys had been blocked off by the thugs and protesters for more than two weeks before that little girl was killed. She had been told that citizens were being attacked for even trying to drive around the blockade. She told the police to do nothing. You know crime is bad when even the liberals are moving out of Buckhead.

So what you all are saying is that unless the 'Medical Professional' and "Scientist" agree with you then their education, experience, and knowledge are meaningless? That is neither scientific nor American. Being able to have a discussion of differing opinions and testing scientific endeavors is what is makes America great. Remember when you all were attacking using HydroxyCloriquine on COVID and not the AMA recently stated it may very well work for many people and worth using. Regardless of the fact that Fauci recommended it for COVID 1 15 years ago.

We do not typically spend that long with anyone at a store or other large retail place.
Pathetic.

Or I simply sum this up with left, left, left, and more left. People simply do not vote properly. They get exactly the leadership they deserve. Believe me, I'm from Baltimore, they don't even try up there. It's not even safe in the daytime.

Posts: 475I'll tell you what they don't expect her to do....
They don't expect her to throw the police under the bus every chance she gets, and blame them before an investigation even takes place. They don't expect her to call for firings of officers who acted as per their training. This is why you see record number of APD resignations / retirements, leaving the force shorthanded. This is why you see officers calling in sick and ignoring calls and no longer willing to put their lives on the line for a mayor who not only won't back them, but will have them fired the first chance she gets. She's now reaping what she sowed.

Posts: 2351Mayors have the power to institute policies that can control crime rates. For example, one way to understand the reasons behind an uptick in crime rates is to use evidence, data and analysis. Why are crime rates on the up surge? Who is it that's using violence against whom and why? Is it a gang fight? Is it over territory? Is it random? Is it one gang? And then as you find out the basis for that, then you can develop a solution or a response to the actual nature of the problem.

Posts: 180It doesn't matter who's locked down on paper and who's not -- the reality is that poll and after poll and election results show that for a variety of political and ideological reasons, from 30 to 40 percent of the country simply have not been following anti-COVID procedures; often with the support of local and state governments (in California, your "locked down" state, police chiefs in numerous cities have publicly pledged not to enforce mask and / or lock down statutes).

And that's the problem. If COVID measures were ineffective, then most of the countries in the so-called first world would have the same COVID stats as us. They don't -- despite having the most expensive health care system in the world, and low population density than many countries, the USA Has 4% of the world's population and 20% of the COVID deaths.

I wasn't stating not to wear masks. I was saying wearing masks already does so little that you might as well not wear anything if you aren't going to do the other more successful actions such as social distancing. Like these new years parties that are going to be occurring. Yes wear a mask but be in a packed bar, club, strip club, etc with a bunch of strangers you don't know where they've been just doesn't make sense.

What people expect her to do? Put in a cape and fly around stopping crime? Like she could have stopped a stray bullet? But on another note WTF two 16 yr in a hotel together for smdh? Kids trying to be adults. Like how they even book a room? Parents are more to blame than a damn mayor.

Posts: 757Go to the link I provided. It provides deaths by week for the United States as an aggregate (don't try to sort by date and sum the totals because there will be some duplication). January (which might include some deaths from Dec 2019) had about 240,000 death. The last week of December of this year will probably add another 65,000.

It says the week ending 02/01/20 so part of the data from January could be missing.

Thanks for pointing that out. I don't think it's going to be over 3,000,000 but now we will have to see.

100% - and this is just a sampling of documented regrets of people who chose not to mask and / or distance that subsequently contracted the virus and. In some cases. Paid the ultimate price.
In contrast, the number of people that "religiously wore masks and contracted COVID" are embarrassingly absent from the public record.
