Sure there's risk in any venture. Which is why some of us, like Shampoo55 appear to believe in risk mitigation. Much like how some of us manage stock investments, wear seatbelts, go to the gym, and make financial and other decisions based on an unknown future. For instance, one doesn't have to be worried about a nasty divorce to recognize it's always a risk and act accordingly.

If I just followed along with "whatever happens, happens" I'd probably be broke and complaining about how I can't get a discount for Seeking.

    What happens.

For the past several weeks, anytime I logged on I was offered the discount. Once I even was offered 33% off. I missed that chance, though. It was in a window that just popped up. I eventually clicked it and got my membership. This is the code it automatically entered on the payment page, I have no idea if it would work for anyone else.

I just tried to use it to pay for my 20% discounted membership (seemingly available most of the time), and I got rejected. Twice.

I emailed seeking customer service to ask them to run the card, they used to do that.

BTW, this is posted on the intake form for Customer Service:

Currently, we are not able to accept European-issued American Express or Diner's Club cards. Please use a Visa, Mastercard, Discover, GooglePlay, or a prepaid card.

Nobody else has encountered this kind of texting silence, or texting ghosting?
Not sure about anybody else but I get ghosted quite a bit. It's part of the game for every 10 that does it there's one or two legit players. For me it's about numbers. The more I do odds are I get a nibble. I also use other sites like BLK and tinder. BLK has been pretty productive for me. But I have no SO so it's easier with those sites posting a picture and all. And surprisingly there are ton of want to be SB's on there novice's and the seasoned veterans. Be safe.

IDK depends on the girl. And who you are approaching. If someone is in fact an UTR escort, texting her a dollar amount might be appreciated. If she's a regular girl, a wannabe sugar baby, I think it might horrify her and she'd stop responding.

You'll have to develop the game you need for the targets you choose.

No By Text, I mean Texting on phone, off SA

When you say 'text' you mean message on SA, right?

If you are texting them by phone, you can say most anything.

Yeah none of that applies to me. If my medical date got breached I might have a reason to sue, that's about it. Sorry you fear going through a nasty divorce, that must be rough.

It has nothing to do with "conservative" or liberal. State can be a "California wannabe" and still require I'd to get STD testing. My point is check the laws or regulations in your state before assuming. There is a difference between so called "annonymous" and private and confidential.

    CA Statute.

    (b) In accordance with subdivision (g) of Section 121022, a state or local public health agency, or an agent of that agency, may disclose personally identifying information in public health records, as described in subdivision (a), to other local, state, or federal public health agencies or to corroborating medical researchers, when the confidential information is necessary to carry out the duties of the agency or researcher in the investigation, control, or surveillance of disease, as determined by the state or local public health agency.

What is the definition of "necessary?" Who is the arbiter of such?

"In the United States, there is no such thing as an anonymous STD test. Although you can get an anonymous HIV test, all other STDs are reportable diseases in every state."
    https://whatismystatus.com/anonymous-std-testing/
which contains a pretty good "How To" guide of getting tested anonymously.

and yes, it suggests you would never be asked for ID at the test site where you go to give samples, which could be true or not. fwiw.

I checked the card online, nothing amiss. I phoned the toll-free number, the message said that I hadn't added a zip code to the card. Not true, I did it yesterday, but whatever. I went through the phone process to add the zip code, waited a half hour, and then had No trouble using it to pay for my month of membership. Hooray.
