I highly doubt you belong to these professions so you can zip it. Only thing that resonated with me is the fact that any one us here could have been paint sprayed in those massages. Like we could have been killed very easily. I'm considering carrying a concealed permit.

This guy will not get charged with a hate crime. It is just going to be murder. What he did does not fit for a hate crime. A hate crime has to show something. Remember that guy who was tied to a pickup truck and dragged by white supremacists? Or that kid who was said to be gay who was found hanging by a fence? Or the Civil Rights movement and what happened to people who were black? A guy going around and killing anybody who's in a spa even if they are owned by Asians doesn't mean it was a hate crime.

I read in the latest round of news reports that the man killed at Youngs was their "handyman". Wasn't the handyman a member on here? My heart goes out to all those affected but this tragedy.

Massive difference between shots fired as in the listed example at Tokyo vs people getting killed. Shots fired in and around the blue flame seems to be extremely common, but is not deemed a big deal due to lack of a body count. There are several multiple victim shootings a week in the Atl area that barely get any press because they are in a low rent apartment complex and victim and suspects look like each other. This story grew legs because of the body count, the sexual aspect, the suspect is out of central casting, white bible thumper vs perceived poor immigrant " sex worker".

Hypocrisy is certainly alive and well in the news business!

This is just taking control of the narrative. It's like how gay people started calling themselves "queer", and eventually "LGBT"; once you start defining your own category (or someone else's) you gain a certain amount of power over yourself (or others, as the case may be.). So: care work. For awhile, there have been two warring Leftist narratives about "sex work", one which calls it a legitimate kind of work deserving of protections, and the other which conflates it with human trafficking. I guess "care work" tilts the argument towards the "legitimacy" argument, which, on balance, is a good thing.

FWIW, I *have* met some pretty "caring" sex workers! (and I'd say they outnumber the handful of frightening narcissists and psychopaths I've also met in the game.).

That was the prevailing narrative after the Robert Kraft story. "Every Asian massage parlor is a brothel and funded by Chinese mafia who force women into prostitution" but the fact that these women have family and loved ones stateside, leads me to think that narrative is not quite accurate.

If news outlets want to truly report accurate news, they simply need to visit some parlors, get to know the girls and their expensive cars earned from jacking dicks, then report the facts.

All three parlors been reviewed extensively over the years. Young's was a Chinese parlor (rub and tug) and the other two were Korean parlors (full service). Those women are not trafficked in any way. Koreans are usually recruited from Korea but not forced into anything. Their network allows them to move around freely to different parlors in the States and they even have their own "taxi" system to move them around.

GDOT had an opportunity to really make improvements to the highway in Henry, but they put in that goofy reversible toll lane that hardly anyone uses, unless you are bypassing all of Henry Co.

I think as long as you were able to keep it 100% concealed you would be alright. But if they saw it they would think you were the police or had ill intent. The other problem is if you are required to leave room for table shower or saunas. I don't think it would be a good idea to leave it unattended. If you do carry, but leave it in car, for the love of god spend the 50 dollars and get a lock box for your car. The glove box or under your seat is not sufficient. It's a calculated risk. In all honesty you are more at risk in the parking lot vs actually in the spa. I am about as paranoid as can be. I think this incident was a once in a hundred year events. I would worry more about a straight up robbery at a spa then another avenger. I avoid Atl after dark. I scurry around during the day and head out of town at dusk. With that being said I realize most beefs at the clubs I go to are about past beefs, bad deals or " disrespect" none of which apply to me. I don't know these people and is too old to be a challenge to their respect. I elect not to talk about my opinions on Trump, blm and prison reform at the club. So thankfully the worse things that might happen to me is being ignored. In closing everywhere you go you are a target. If you like me find it hard to relax, but still need to engage in hobby it will be well worth it to spend the extra cash. Get a hotel room and lock door once she's in. Stay safe.
