You've got a better chance getting shot and killed at any Atlanta convenience store / gas station. If you think it's all of a sudden dangerous to go to a massage parlor because one crazy (who is in custody) got stupid because he was horny you need to lay off the liberal cool aid.

Do you remember when a whack job shot up a mcdonalds some years back killing like 17 people? So did you think it was dangerous to go to mcdonalds after that? You can get killed anywhere anytime, for no reason. I'm all for getting a weapons license, but that's because no place in the country is safe, but a massage joint is no more dangerous than the grocery store. Heck in the past year been many grocery store shootings over masks.

I highly doubt you belong to these professions so you can zip it. Only thing that resonated with me is the fact that any one us here could have been paint sprayed in those massages. Like we could have been killed very easily. I'm considering carrying a concealed permit.

Out of curiosity, are any of the three now infamous spas reviewed here? Are they R&Ts or legit?

If they're R&Ts and the victims have family, etc. That the press is reporting on, doesn't that skew the narrative that these places are part of some international trafficking ring out of flushing NY and that their passports are confiscated and they're forced to sleep in the shop in squalid conditions?

Facts are guy liked Asian sex, or spa sex and that is where he went. Guy is a nut and thought eliminating the women that tempted him would keep him from doing sexual wrongs. These are the facts as we know it based on the police investigation, anything else is just speculation. If he hated Asian I highly doubt he would have habitually shelled out 200 plus dollars to have sex with them.

Facts per the police is he attacked spas he had gone to only, he didn't just start shooting up every Asian spa in sight.

I hope people think for themselves and stop jumping on leftist theories of hate. Fact is liberals are drooling to call this a hate crime, when it's actually a crime of passion.

AMP's for the most part, some old lady in the back watching TV with the res of the girls and would be a soft target. Why? Most guys would be slow to go into a place if a bunch of Tong warriors were outside standing guard so they aren't going to be there. Plus he probably knew the scene at the ones he went to and knew what he would get away with. Nothing to do with race, but his ability to be able to get out. IMO, if the prosecutor could prove that, it would take away the insanity plea and clear the way for lethal injection. I'm not a lawyer, I just play one on message boards..

Very well said. I agree that the perp is a simple whack job and chose easy targets. He knew exactly what he was doing, planned it and carried it out. No hate crime but no insanity defense either. I'm curious to see how his lawyer handles his defense.

3. Morality of Prostitution. I don't have a problem with prostitution as long as it is not involving kids or people forced to do it. If a consenting adult wishes to sell their body and understands the full impacts on what this may bring to them then I say let them do it, just ensure that they get the proper health checks. I'm living in Asia now and I have seen the numerous sex shops available and don't have a problem. Would I like my daughter to do that work, nope. But that doesn't mean my views should dictate what others may be able to do. I've seen many a woman working on her back to support a family and have respect for them more so than some of the ones I have seen in the states on the corners working just to get enough for the next high.

4. From my experience I have been turned away from some AMPs due to my race and others have let me in. Can't help that people have their biases and to each their own. But in this case, I don't see if as an anti-Asian attack. Dude was sick in the head because of his sex addiction. But that isn't going to play well in the media because of the big money that industry brings in so what better way to push it to the side and blame racism. Trump, MAGA, etc had nothing to do with this guy. He was just whacked out.

They are motivated like any other person or business entity to reduce their taxes as much as possible. AMPs cannot be compelled to keep significant, granular billing records for clients, either. The only way for the government to capture cash income is via audit, and guess what? The IRS doesn't spend a lot of time auditing citizens who show $20 or $30 k in cash income because proving fraud is way harder. They'd rather go RICO and try to catch drug dealers because honestly, the ROI is much better.

Let's also be honest here and note that there's shit tons of illegal sex work going on in Vegas, despite it being relatively close to an area where sex work is legal and taxed. Water flows downhill, always.

I will add that saying they live here "tax free" is a bit of a misnomer. AMP providers pay property tax (if they own a home or rent), usage taxes (sales taxes, etc.) and a myriad of other taxes like all the rest of us. Do they pay little or no income tax? I would assume that most vastly underpay income taxes if they file at all. BUT that does limit their ability to collect social security etc.
