Extra were definitely available. As far as CAMPs go, the menu was fairly open. I have notice a trend of CAMPs appealing to more women for legit massages, especially in the suburbs.

Yeah, "deeper dive" my ass. This article is full of the usual nonsense about human trafficking that is virtually non-existent. It is always these feminist groups that insist that these ladies are victims. If you know anything beyond superficial details about these businesses, you know this is utter horseshit. Did there use to be cases of trafficking long time ago? Yes. Does trafficking occur in non-Asian spas (I. E. , Latina, Caucasian)? Maybe I don't have the knowledge of these types places. Does trafficking occur in modern KAMPs and CAMPs in the US? NO. Virtually no.

I chuckled with derision when I saw Lisa Ling talking about her outrage about people with her face are being targeted. Yes, it is sadly true now since COVID in particular, but that asshole has been pushing the non-existing trafficking angle to suite her career for many years.

Here is a novel idea, maybe we should stop marginalizing these women and businesses and just let them be (at a minimum). LEOs, politicians, prosecutors need to stop harassing them, and instead PROTECT them! Do you know what happens when you push activities between consenting adults underground by threat of legal repercussions? Illicit and criminal behavior. Uncooperative victims, as we are apparently seeing now with these ladies not talking to police out of fear. Stop with the puritanical "wars on XYZ" and leave consenting adults alone.

After hearing about yesterday's horrific events I just don't know what to think. All three of those spas are ones I was a regular at for a long time. I knew each girl by name and many used to call and text me during their free time. These were real people with real thought and real needs. To take away their life based on any ideal or hate is just simply wrong. I'm just heartbroken. These girls and all the people shot deserved better. This was an act of hatred, racism and worst of all terrorism in my opinion. I really hope and pray for all of the victims and especially their families.

First, I haven't been on these boards in years but I use to participate and this was the first place I decided to look for news. Second, this whole thing was a senseless killing of innocent people by a crazy guy. Third, I want to respectfully challenge all of the hate crime sentiment that is being thrown around. Again, this guy was a crazy guy who I have no doubt was motivated by the industry and whatever weird temptations he felt. If he was gay and these were gay spas with homosexual men who were shot, that would be called a hate crime. If this industry was Hispanic, it would be called a hate crime. If it was white women, it would be called a misogynistic hate crime. Correlation is not causation. If he hated asians, he would have gone to Buford highway and shot up a flea market or a Ramen noodle shop. This was Spa specific and spas happen to be run by Asian women. Why does everything have to be twisted to prove there is hatred in this country?

Yeah, so all the hundreds of videos of Asians being targeted post pandemic is fake then? By your logic he could have just shot up multiple strip clubs that are known to be more than just strip clubs. Fuck that guy!

I've never gotten political on this board before, but the (liberal) National Media wants this to be a hate crime.

MSNBC is even doubting the perp's own confession that he's a sex addict and himself saying This is not a hate crime. T doesn't fit their immediate narrative that this is a hate crime. That way they can blame Trump's "China Virus" talk, and blame Republicans. And find something slanderous to report, because they sure don't want to have to report on the border crisis or Cuomo. They want to keep the Anti-Trump story going.

This whole story would take on a "George Flynn" life of it's own if the perp had not survived. Now the regretful liberal media is having to backtrack, or at least slow down, all of the "hate crime" talk.

I am sorry to hear about these tragic killings. I'm not from Atlanta, but have visited other spas around the country. I believe these spas provide much-needed service to men, who do not have a personal relationship in their life. Many men do not have the social skills or ability to have "normal" sexual relations with other women. These spa women provide female interaction to these men, who are either too shy or unattractive to other women. Apparently, the killer is this type of man. It is sad this guy was so emotionally and intellectually screwed up to do what he did.

In closing, I have always thought the spas provided relief to men, who might otherwise rape or murder a woman, who might set them off. I think of the spa workers more as service workers, who provide a needed social service. It's too bad that it's not legal. Hopefully, it will be in the future. I know it won't be in my lifetime.

You nailed the root of the problem when you say "men who do not have social skills to have normal sexual relations with women".

Why does just about every mass shooting involve a young single man, usually a loner, who has a proven history of being awkward around other people and especially women?

We need stronger intervention during the high school years to find these types of loners and apply psychiatric methods to correct their fucked up brain chemistry. These are the types of guys who go on to become serial killers and mass shooters, and most of them have a repeated history of failing out of schools and jobs.

It is not the point of the post and this threat but I do see couches around the lobby area of some parlors, like Li on Windy Hill, Angel in Doraville, Yue on Canton have them, just to name a few. I bet now no one will sit there anymore.

I am somewhat startled by how visible the spas down there are? Up here they are just plain old houses in old run down rust belt areas with a small non eye catching sign out front and a simple neon "open" sign in the window. These seem to be lit up like Vegas. Don't they worry about frigid types like those ganging on against Cuomo noticing them and looking into it?

Atlanta is a convention center town. Locals go to these places and it discussed here from time to time, but you will also see comments that it' primarily for those from out of town. There is a group of similar stores in that location arguably targeting the convention business so they are intentionally easy to find. There are also similar establishments, strip clubs, lingerie modeling within a couple of blocks. I'm guessing what you are describing is mostly for quiet local business.

One of Korea's big dailies, Chosun Ilbo, has a witness at the spa saying the killer shouted "I am going to kill all the Asians" but law enforcement says this isn't "racially motivated. ".

Mr. A was in the store at the time of the shooting, but reportedly avoided it and then told the nearby Office of Korea.

According to the media, police visited a nearby Office of Korea and advised business owners to close, saying it was likely a hate crime targeting Asians.
