I should have made clear that I am only familiar with the email feautures of the sd4me site. I don't know if the other sites' email works the same way or not.

I've had zero luck there. All these sites "pad their rosters" with shills and / or profiles for non-existent people, but the site you mentioned does seem to be pretty blatant.

My best luck was on CL before they closed the "adult jobs" section. There are some SB types in the "casual encounters" section, but you have to do a LOT of weeding to find the real blades of grass. I re-wrote my profile on the SD4Me site and I'm finally getting some responses to emails, though not from the ones I would prefer. And I got my first actual rejection email last night, where someone I had written on the site replied to say no thanks. That's a rare one.

Often when they reject you without saying anything they just delete your email on the site. You can tell when they have read your email and when they haven't and you can tell when they have looked at your profile. You can also tell when they delete your email. If they delete it without reading it after they have looked at your profile, it's probably the worst response. I agree its rare to get an actual rejection email.

This has to be a classic story. You may not find another one like her, because it sounds like you were at least a little bit in love with this particular girl, but I believe a lot of the sbs on the website are looking for just this kind of relationship with an sd. It's not for me because I don't want to risk emotional involvement which would happen to me for sure in this kind of long term affair, but it sounds like it was great for you.

Age wise I'm in the exact same position as you. Mid sixties, look 50+. I had listed my age as 62 on the site but after reading your post I changed it to 55. I have not posted any pics, still to nervous about that. When asked I do give a accurate description of myself. Maybe that's something I'll have to rethink.

Another thing that you'll notice the more you're in this game. When your subscription expires, within a day or 2 you'll get an email from someone with a profile that fits everything you're seeking. But since your subscription has expired, you can't contact them. So, you re-subscribe, email that person and never hear anything else. A 'fake' ad that I believe is created by the site itself. It's a tactic these sites use to keep you on the hook.

That's just what I suspected, that at 30 the weird one is the guy on the SB site. When I was 30 I would have fell out laughing if anyone had suggested that I do such a thing.
