It's been a while since I set foot in a Northern Virginia AMP, but this is the tipping guideline I use: Great guideline. Sue at one tree did nothing special and bitched at $40. Stand our ground that is plenty for standard handshake.

40 - standard HE with limited roaming (more, of course, for better roaming or more clothes removed).

60 - BJ / HJ combo with more emphasis on HJ.

80 - BBBJCIM (rare in NOVA).

$ - FS (even rarer in NOVA).

This is on top of the house fee, which is typically 60 for the half hour and 80 for the hour on this side of the Potomac. So if you're lucky enough to get FS in a Northern Virginia AMP and you tip according to the schedule cited by GripNSlip, you're looking at a total of 220-240 for an hour. This compares to 160 for an alleged hour with an Asian crapshoot provider (more like 30-45 minutes if you're lucky), or anywhere between 180 and 250 for an hour with a typical escort in this area.

The reason some providers are asking for higher tips is because far too many mongers have been willing to pay them rather than holding the line. So that makes it more difficult on mongers who are unable or unwilling to tip on the higher scale you and GripNSlip cite.

I'm not trying to start an argument, but I speak as a monger who's earning less than he did prior to the Great Recession. I'm also trying to keep prices reasonable for my fellow mongers. Not all of us living in this area are filthy rich.

Sue from Pine Tree in Fairfax next door to Garden Spa, gave ok massage with nothing special on the handshake. Shorted me 10 minutes and bitched about $40 tip with 85 house fee. Wanted 60. Guys hold your ground or we will all pay the price eventually. Also met monger in parking lot from Garden spa. Don't. Believe the tipping details on rubmaps if you subscribe to it. When you tip 40 $, do you get a lot of blowback from the provider? I like to leave with everyone happy, but I always feel like 60 or even 80 is more normal for NOVA. Do you have many providers that you are regular with that are happy with that 40 $.

The way I try to justify it, is if it's standard NOVA: . 4.

If it's above the standard, ie: takes off clothes, let's you nurse, you have fun then I go. 6-. 8 depending on how much I enjoyed the exp / provider was hot /massage was amazing/went above and beyond.

.8 for BBBJ seems a bit short personally I would tip between $- $.2 range again for the same reasons above.

FS: $. 4- $.6 range. Any more than that and you're paying too much; unless it's a rocking provider or you've developed and amazing rapport.

I think what he is trying to say is that it's more of a rule of thumb. Location, Location, Location. Northern Virginia tips are excessive when you compare the value nearby. Most are paying more because they don't want to travel to other areas.

As HighwayGuy said, welcome to the forum. I appreciate that your first report contributed to the knowledge base and wasn't a request for information.

That having been said, I agree you overpaid for the services received. A $40 tip is sufficient for standard NOVA with limited roaming. For an $80 tip I would expect BBBJCIM, something which is very rare on this side of the Potomac. We need to keep prices reasonable or else only the richest mongers will be able to afford pay to play.

Thanks to all who replied. Much appreciated. With the advice to pass, I headed out to King where Sissy / Cici (our former Angel is now running the show). Since this isn't the forum for AMP, I will just say it was a decent and enjoyable option.
