Just consider that it comes down to the amount of time, resources, and energy someone wants to put in to identify you. Even getting a burner with cash means you still have your face plastered on some security camera, unless you use a cut out of some sorts or avoid the cameras.

I've considered that calling in to activate the phone means there's a recording of my voice. I covered the mouthpiece with a cloth (LOL) which might fool the ear, but I know that it won't fool a voice analyzer.

Likewise, I know that buying my phone and minutes in person creates a video record of the transaction, which can be correlated with a timestamp.

Short of a murder, kidnapping, or other serious investigation, the likelihood of someone going through the time, effort, and expense to put a face to the phone, then putting out a public ABP or tapping into facial recognition software, is somewhere approaching zero, and I don't remember enough Calculus and Statistics to figure it out.

I'm shielded from girls who go off the deep end, pimps who want to play extortion, embarrassment from wrong numbers, and John Law to the extent that he'd put in the effort to track someone who's in the hobby, but neither trafficking nor hurting anyone.

Yeah, I told her that it doesn't do a darn thing. I think it might be a way for them to also verify if you are AA or some other ethnicity that they do not want to serve. Anyway, I suppose there are a few caveats if you are going to send photo: most biometric require both ears, eyes, straight on to be most effective to get proportions, etc, so you can obscure etc; second, not to include any conversation which would indicate any form of solicitation or otherwise; third, don't forget to scrub your metadata before sending photo.

Part of the issue are these things called phones. You make the call, regardless if it's a burner, and you have issues: you have to register it with a credit card or personally identifiable information. Registering online results in your IP address being logged. Once a provider has your number, even with an assumed name, it can easily be traced back to the originator. Now if something bad were to happen to a provider, it will be a matter of checking and tracing the phone log. With this digital world makes for an easily traceable end. I miss the old days of driving down to the corner, picking up, taking care of business dropping them off without having to worry about being contacted when they need money. It even worked with girlfriends I could disappear without a trace.

Brotherman you need to read about VPN's, TOR, and using public internet. Not trying to be a dick but if all you're worried about is an IP addy there's a million ways to spoof that.

You can activate a burner phone over the phone itself, using minute cards purchased with cash. Give them a fake name and address, and the only thing they have on you is your voice, which isn't likely to be searched.

Depends on which company, not all can be activated on the burner phone itself. If you can find one of them pay phones, that is an option, too. You can also activate over wifi. If over a different phone, you can just use keys to input rather than having your voice. Just consider that it comes down to the amount of time, resources, and energy someone wants to put in to identify you. I won't keep disagreeing with you about Stephanie. I did a lot of searching for the images and nothing, but there are many that come up with Asian girls with sleeve tattoos. I know she is stealing photos but at least they are a close enough representation that you won't be disappointed by the looks.

It's a different issue entirely for anyone with a security clearance. In that case a higher level of caution and even paranoia might be warranted. Clearances can be suspended or revoked with a lower standard of proof and appeal options are limited and skewed in favor of the employer.

This is the world that I am just now getting out of and have no intentions on going back in to.
