I've did a few indy visits in brooklawn on my way home frrom work later afternoon. I actually like it because its close to NJ-42. I easily can hope off 42 and back when I'm done. Never had any issues or saw anything off-putting like cops / thug activity. That said, you won't be going to any nice looking motel / hotels. LOL.
