If you search the RI Dept Of Corrections (assuming it was in RI) he will be listed and his charges / sentences. If he's still listed on their site he's still in custody. If he's no longer coming up in a search by name then he's out in the public. Hope that helps. Though it doesn't mean there today, out tomorrow. 18 months with decent behavior and overcrowding could be out by now.

He was indeed convicted for the most recent of the domestic violence / battery-related charge in Rhode Island. He was originally sentenced to 10 years but the sentence was reduced to 18 months by a RI judge. But he is NOT currently listed as an inmate in the RI Dept Of Corrections, I checked. So I think it's a safe assumption that he is probably currently on the loose. He would surely not be the only violent criminal set loose by these fine upstanding judges these days, in part, probably for the reasons you said.

Anyway, he was sentenced to 18 months, starting January 2025, for the latest of the multiple violations of no contact orders, and was required to attend some sort of "Batterers Intervention" meetings. I found this out because of some additional information on accessing court records, kindly provided by another monger. What I don't know, though, is whether or not he is currently loose. So I would like to know if anyone knows whether he is currently loose or not? Paroled? I don't know.
