If you search the RI Dept Of Corrections (assuming it was in RI) he will be listed and his charges / sentences. If he's still listed on their site he's still in custody. If he's no longer coming up in a search by name then he's out in the public. Hope that helps. Though it doesn't mean there today, out tomorrow. 18 months with decent behavior and overcrowding could be out by now.

He was indeed convicted for the most recent of the domestic violence / battery-related charge in Rhode Island. But I just checked some of my Facebook bookmarks and with a bit of additional sleuthing, I found exactly where this is coming from.
