Please note that these are PUBLIC websites, with dozens, in some cases hundreds, of names. So you have to know the legal name of whom you are looking for. But anyone can access these state government websites. So there is no reason to not post these links here. Be careful, though, sometimes they make mistakes with spelling names--they did with Ashley's thug. So you have to cross-reference with other info, like birthdate, etc. , to make sure it's the person whom you are searching.

If anyone has similar links for our neighboring states (MA, CT), PLEASE post them! Because some day, the person you save from a major potential problem, may be YOU!

If you search the RI Dept Of Corrections (assuming it was in RI) he will be listed and his charges / sentences. If he's still listed on their site he's still in custody. If he's no longer coming up in a search by name then he's out in the public. Hope that helps. Though it doesn't mean there today, out tomorrow. 18 months with decent behavior and overcrowding could be out by now.
