I see some non licensed people use the term body rub or rub, instead of massage.

Personally, I read all new posts regardless of the heading. I don't think I'm confused as to the services.

I agree for the most part. A "Massage Parlor" should be an actual business with a physical location advertised and accessible to the general public without having to jump through any hoops to get the address. They also have publicly advertised and defined business hours. I should be able to just show up and get a massage, providing they are not busy. I think this definition should very clearly define the difference between massage parlor or not. Typically, a Massage Parlor would also have multiple providers available at the same location. I only list (Asian) Massage Parlors on my map.

Ah, did not realize said thread was closed. Perhaps the Craigslist Advertiser Review thread should just be an Advertisers Review thread?

Just so you all are aware. In the state of Ohio anyone can give a massage as a service and be paid for it without being a Licensed Massage Therapist as long as they do not claim to be a therapist or that their service is therapy or for any health benefits. I see so many refer to their providers here as "therapists" when 99% of them are not licensed by the State Medical Board as required to be called a therapist. Many refer to this as a "loophole" in the law that allows for what is called a "relaxing" massage. In some states, like New York, all massage providers must be licensed therapists regardless of where in the State they are providing the service, unless it is given completely free of charge.

Posts: 397Parlor or Not Parlor, that is the question
My two cents, which is worthless because they don't even make pennies anymore. LOL.
This thread, titled Massage Parlor Reports, should have discussions of "parlors"; by my definition, these are places that are accessible to the public, as in a building or shop that you can drive by, and see the entrance. Basically all AMPs and legit spas count. I don't count people's houses / private residences (like Kay) UNLESS it's an AAMP. Yeah, the MTs usually live in the AAMP, but in my mind, it's different than Kay or a CL person who is just inviting you to their home / apt. They are very different experiences.
As for the "Massage" part of these thread title, yes, the places should give massages or at least allude to that as a service they provide. HE is not a requirement for places discussed here: we post reports and talk about things to find out what kind of services are available, and if it's HE / DIY / etc. Plenty of people on here have asked for recs for just a good massage with no HE required.
Obviously there are places that blur the lines of where they should be posted. In lieu of creating yet another thread, maybe just cross-post / post in multiple threads if you're unsure? Then you can see which place has more of a discussion.

By this definition a massage can only be given in a licensed massage parlor or spa? You receive a massage in a home or apt?

I guess we could have ANOTHER forum but do we really need one?

I found Irina, Grace, Cindy and many others here because massage was the main course with a HE.
Of course a few of the independents and a rare AMP offer FS, but if you want FS that's what the Escorts and streetwalkers sites are for.
Stay safe and happy.

The "why" is because Kay is not a massage parlor.

Good luck finding that in this area. I'm not going to say it's not possible, but there are only two L3 shops here. What you are looking for is harder to find than a L2 shop and those are not around here, though you sometimes find a provider here or there that will Fido more than L1 but they don't usually last very long.

Best chance would be to look into AAMPs or independents. Guess you have some research to do.
