Posts: 196I understand, but I can't find where its says specifically it will protect against hiv as a man doing sex vaginally. I asked chatgpt and it said it does not and researched online. I would like to know.

Posts: 198If it prevents HIV, it prevents HIV. They likely specify "receiving anal sex" because that is the most likely way for a male to get HIV through sexual activity. Via infected semen. The transmission rates from vagina to penis are incredibly small, as are anus to penis because blood is a fairly weak transmission vector. Now if you were to get a transfusion that would be a different story, or if you had open sores on your penis and she was on her period, that would increase the odds, but generic vanilla sex the risk is very very very small for HIV (with a sloppy seconds caveat, because then you might be sliding in infected semen.).

I say all that to say. I wouldn't worry too much about HIV. All the other STDs are still out there though.

Not trying to be argumentative but did you read this right? To protect against hiv as a man doing sex vaginally you just have to take it a full 20 days. Which is longer than the other variations. But happy to hear what you read.

I had been on prep descovy and just realized after some research it doesn't even prevent hiv from vaginal to penis. Only for receiving anal sex LOL. Don't be dumb like me, hopefully I aint catch nothing.

Posts: 249I agree with what you're saying for the most part. Although I don't think increased promiscuity is the core problem. Its the lack of balance, and the disregard for sexual health, which is a symptom of the larger education deficit that afflicts America.

The lack of education here extends to sexual health. America has always had shitty sexual health curriculums, despite pushes to integrate it more deeply into education. In high school we had an hour long STD education class that happened in our school auditorium. That was only the sex health class I had ever had in the history of my school career.
As long as America's education institution continues to make sexual health education a low priority for young folks, this kind of rampant, irresponsible sex behavior is only going to get worse, especially as technology makes it easier, and the youth's role models (influencers, etc.) validate it.
On top of that -- participants in this hobby won't make it any better, because you know, every other question is "does she do BB". LOL.

LOL. These old boomers are doing more fear mongering than regular mongering these days.
If you are a straight man who doesn't shoot up, you have little to worry about for HIV. If you are concerned, you can get on prep and your chances of getting HIV go from 1% to 0. 001% or something ridiculously small like that.
HIV is also no longer a death sentence.
But with all that said. It's always best to stay safe and know the risks of engaging in this dangerous hobby.

Posts: 973The thing is you don't know until you get there. This is why providers can scam guys for years because they're counting on the client knowing nothing about her and her service and there is only boards like this to warn others.

Other girls size you up at the door. If they find you attractive you can get away with more and the less attractive you are to them they try and get way with doing less, they rush and they want more $$. Some things are a no brainer. Take a shower and smell good and the outcome should be better. In many ads I seen providers say take a shower and no funky smells otherwise they will refuse service.

Posts: 973HIV is on the rise in several states because the youth today don't respect HIV like how people 40 and over do.

In my youth HIV was a death sentence and people died in a couple years and there was nothing the hospital could do about it. Big strong men or young beautiful women were reduced to a skeleton in a few years and had a slow agonizing death. HIV was also attached to big names like Magic Johnson, Gia Carangi, or Tommy Morrison so nobody was immune.
HIV is no joke. Its a nasty intelligent virus that attacks the immune system and causes the body to be unable to fight off simple opportunistic infections.
Having said that, American life is changing and not for the better which is why HIV is on the rise again. Less people are getting married, probably record out of wedlock births, the hookup culture is in full swing due to cellphones, and all of this is influenced by porn which has grown substantially and has become more hardcore since I was a teen looking at Playboy.
I would argue you're probably safer with a mid tier escort because at least she's going to make sure condoms are used every time because its a job to them.
In the real world in this day and age the youth meet up on apps, they drink and smoke, then they hop in the bed together that same day not getting tested first or using condoms consistently and they do this routine going through different people for years.
A lady once told me her younger sister told her that she slept with 25 boys by the time she was a hs senior! That was unheard of in my day unless the girl was a street prostitute. Another lady I briefly went out on a few real dates said she spent all her 20's partying in NYC drinking and now she's overweight with liver problems and single. She is like a lot of women who were influenced by sitcoms like Sex in the City not realizing its all fake and its not a healthy way to really live especially for a woman.
Then there is a podcast online and this man who host the show says women who go through the American college system just figure that she slept with at least 50 dudes before she met you so plan accordingly. Then you have all the touring pro sports teams and musicians who come into town where women regardless if they're married or have boyfriends they sleep with these men right away because they're celebrities. A member of jane's addiction has bunch of stuff written about him by girls online who say he gave them herpes. Usher was sued for the same thing.
Promiscuity has really taken off in America especially if you're in certain social circles. Miami, NY, Atlanta, Texas and even down south all have high rates of new HIV diagnoses compared to the national average.

Posts: 30Right. That's also considering we've seen white women in Philly on YouTube admitting to having HIV and still prostituting.

Posts: 68This is why you 1) always wear condoms for FS and for BJ, and 2) don't engage with black women.

Read a report today as well as told by a friend who works for the city that HIV rates are on the rise in Philly.
The disregard for sexual health is very prevalent on this forum -- so I kindly implore yall to get tested often, familiarize yourself with the wide spectrum of STDs, and seriously look into getting PREP. It literally renders you unable to catch HIV.
Also understand, the risks are especially higher in the hobby. I know yall have a penchant for barebacking drug addicts (no judgement, but still). Keep in mind that where there's frequent unprotected sex and drug use, there will naturally be a higher chance at catching something nasty. And I already know some of yall likely engage with gay and transgender individuals as well. No judgement, fuck who want, but please for the love of mary -- protect yourselves. Also, some STDs are transferable via oral route, so don't think BBJ is immune to anything.
Stay safe folks.

Posts: 548That's good to know, they've been around for a few years, and it it seems like lots of people here like them. Personally, I like to get the main tests done every 3 months or so, which helps with the ladies, too if you can show them a clean test result.

Posts: 191Wow, I am sure a bunch of scientists would be curious to find out your in-built defense mechanism. If they could obtain your blood sample, they might want to run a whole genome sequence so as to identify those novel genetic variants that make you so immune to all these types of STDs.
