This belongs in our bullshit thread. But "illegals" sre breaking civil law. Not criminal law.

Furthermore, think about the central reason republicans never come to the table to agree to comprehensive reform to help the citizenship process. They follow USA Chamber of Commerce position against iron clad checks on illegal hiring. They don't want them.
So here's trump sending all that cheap labor away. I was at a well known Northshore car wash yesterday. Always 10-12 ball busting Latinos friendly and sending you on your way. That business owner had 3 of them show up. Cars waiting forever down the street.
This will bite trump in the ass. Fucking his own constituents.

I don't want to perpetuate this topic since it probably belongs in another thread (eg, Bullshit thread) but I think there needs to be a couple considerations. This change in enforcement policy can and will likely mean when a spa does get busted (see Archer Perfect, RL, etc) anyone involved in illicit activity (prostitution, sex trafficking) will likely be hemmed up and sent packing. Of course this will apply to anyone without status and may apply to someone on a visa that doesn't allow working in the US (which is the majority of them).

Though it may not be a top priority it may fall somewhere on the list. They may not be targeted during this initial phase of deportations but could be somewhere down the line.
The positive for a lot of these parlors and brothels is Chicago's stance as a sanctuary city. The city will not be doing the feds any favors related to these deportations meaning they wouldn't have access to business records, information on permit violations or even complaints filed by local citizens for some of these apartments and storefront brothels. Otherwise, things could get ugly quick.
I know some of the girls at the spas are concerned, though they might not admit it, but I've had it voiced to me by a manager / provider who is a regular in my rotation.
Anyways, biggest takeaway is to just be aware when visiting a new, unknown spa or apartment or even better, stick to your regular spots with the steady lineups and that sweet MMS whose there to greet you with a smile, haha.

I doubt ICE is concerned about spa workers. First, they probably have green cards. Second, the "Worst are First" policy is going after violent criminals, drug dealers, known gang members, those on terror watch lists. They aren't worried about illegals if they even exist at a massage parlor.

Posts: 582Agreed. There are way lower hanging fruit than mostly Asian girls at spa's often on some flavor of visa, if they are on a visa they are here legally and less likely to be targeted. Homan has pretty much spelled it out. Targeting serious criminals first, with the caveat of however if you are here illegally you are on the table. This to me reads as if you hang or are related to the criminals they are trying to round up and happen to be in the mix and unfortunate enough to be present when the criminals get picked up you would likely be going along for the ride even if not otherwise a targeted criminal. Freebies I guess would be one way to look at it from Homan's perspective. For example they get info that a seriously dangerous illegal criminal is working someplace like a warehouse and they go there to pick up that targeted criminal and there happens to be 25 other illegals working at the site that were not the specific target the way Homan sees it is your here illegally you get a free ride back home too. Not going out of the way to round the non dangerous criminals up but not letting them go if they are in the wrong place at the wrong time either.

Posts: 231Monthly subscription on the other site
So, I was perusing the other site earlier. I hadn't been on the site since I let my premium account expire, changed banks and never got around to resubscribing. So I decided to resubscribe, until I saw the price. $49/ month, whooo doggy! Guess this will be my source for information, giving and receiving, since the price for that site is ridiculous, if I remember correctly, it was about $$16/ month. That site is going to wither away unless they change their pricing.

Posts: 383Fair enough. My hyperbole. But I'm willing to bet that your federal tax filing this spring will be at a higher rate than Murdoch, Comcast, Warner / Discover, Disney or Paramount. That shit certainly didn't get fixed today.

Posts: 1172No paid TV since 2023. Actually, no TV at all. Separately, what makes you think Comcast or MSNBC is tax free?
