I had plans to visit the All Latina Massage Parlor that I saw people posting about on 4th of July weekend but it seems this new law is going to put an end to it all huh? Is it even worth the risk?

It's not illegal to get a massage, it doesn't matter if it's a AMP, LMP or any other place. I am going to keep doing what I always do not worried about the new law, nothing illegal about what I am doing officer.

The Gov is hoping many places will just close up and leave the state. The new law will require take in forms whereby we have to give our name, address, phone number, and the type of massage we opted for and the shop has to record the therapist name, license number, phone number and address, for every massage, and every client and these records have to be kept for 1 year. And, a take in form is required for every massage. If the shops decide to not do it, when the get caught, they will get shut down.

It's unconstitutional. This is a witch hunt and an all out assault on Asian run businesses.

No more open between 12 am and 5 am.

Many of these parlors aren't even aware of the changes coming.

Unlicensed activity or getting caught doing a HE will result in Busimess closure. Not just a fine anymore.

It's pure BS and overreach.

Wonder if someone will challenge the law in court.

Couldn't they just reopen as skin care or relaxation shops and not have to follow the law? or people could just get fake IDs

I've seen a bit of totally irresponsible speculation (mostly from me!) that the new/pending Florida Law (House Bill 197) affecting "Health Care Practitioners and Massage Therapy" (Google it) may have contributed to some places, like Yoshiko and Eve's Spa in Largo, electing to shut their doors rather than deal with the business impacts of that law (set to take effect on July 1st, 2024... just under 7 weeks from now). The early closure (a few months before the law takes effect) may be due to the timing of Lease Renewal, or some other influencing factor. See! What'd I tell you all ... totally irresponsible speculation with no foundation in any facts whatsoever!

If you did, in fact, detect an illuminated OPEN sign, but the old listed phone number still fails to respond (other than voicemail), it may be possible that some NEW establishment has opened up in that location and is attempting to leverage the well-known business name of YOSHIKO in hopes of drawing in some unsuspecting former Yoshiko customers, while proving lame, yet future-law-abiding services! That's just a guess too.

Went to VIP on Tampa Rd in Oldsmar last week. Showed up on time for my appointment and met with Jennifer, a 40 ish masseuse with nice body and great attitude. And spoke good English!
