I'll be surprised if this law scares away that many parlors. They're pretty crafty and probably anticipate laws like these. The volume of AMPs in this state is pretty insurmountable and I don't see the state having the time and competency to shut them all down or enforce this as strictly as we fear.

I know some places like Tampa have "aromatherapy shops" so they may change names or nature of services offered if it gets to be a problem.

I've seen a bit of totally irresponsible speculation (mostly from me!) that the new/pending Florida Law (House Bill 197) affecting "Health Care Practitioners and Massage Therapy" (Google it) may have contributed to some places, like Yoshiko and Eve's Spa in Largo, electing to shut their doors rather than deal with the business impacts of that law (set to take effect on July 1st, 2024..

Eves, it was reported the light was in but very dim. They gave sense gotten a new light and clearly open. Not in my current rotation.

But yoshiko is really closed unrelated to any new zoning laws.

Maybe being on the younger side I'm not aware of laws they've past previously regarding this, but is this something that anyone is worried about? First time seeing anything like this, someone please give me good news. I enjoy a regular escape.

If you did, in fact, detect an illuminated OPEN sign, but the old listed phone number still fails to respond (other than voicemail), it may be possible that some NEW establishment has opened up in that location and is attempting to leverage the well-known business name of YOSHIKO in hopes of drawing in some unsuspecting former Yoshiko customers, while proving lame, yet future-law-abiding services! That's just a guess too.

I drove past this place a few times so I decided to check it out. I go in, nice looking Asian lady shows me to a room after I give her $80 for the $70 hour.

I also got a tip about this place and checked it out. I knew the rate was 70 and had exact change. Appears to be staffed by 2 Chinese ladies on the older side. One had somewhat of a nice rack but heavy on the makeup. The other I don't know what to say.

Anyways, I got a decent oil massage. The place was a real shack of a building but had decent ac. I didn't time it but felt close to full time.

But the one time I went I struck out. Possibly because I am new or possibly because I mistook the services.
