I never understood it. I used to frequent strip clubs and would get really excited when some small extras were included. Mutual touching kind of stuff. Dancers are essentially independent contractors. They pay "rent" to the club to work. That's the $140 fee.

The private closets are profit centers only if they are rented. He may be trying to drive the higher mileage work off the floor and into his revenue center. Since LE has stopped enforcing club rules in the VIP, ownership needs to do it for itself. He probably is paying himself for showing up with the increased room rents. This will get old. Regular staff apparently can't be trusted to drive the traffic behind the curtains.

He'll get tired of this and would probably do better by lowering the surcharge, making it more competitive with Sugars, for example.
