This is the very first post of The Octagon. Talking about incall or outcall, or whatever Gringo wants to talk about is actually misplaced for the purpose of the Octagon.

I would suggest that we need a gentlemen's agreement to keep the 2024 election off the Octagon, unless the state of the hobby in Cincinnati becomes a major issue in the national campaign.

I would submit that the hobby itself is something of a political issue too, though I admit that's an angle that doesn't normally come up in here. I would love discussion on that.

Do you guys factor the hobby into the way you vote?

That said, I post so rarely in here that my opinion probably shouldn't matter anyway, and this thread has literally always been a free-for-all, but I too will stop with politics that are not hobby-related for now; not even answering the last reply I got, which I assure you, has been difficult LOL.

We have another contentious election coming up in 5 months. My guess is that we're pretty evenly divided here between the two political parties.

If the Octagon becomes nothing but a repository for reposting talking points ("Trump is a criminal!" "Biden is a senile old man!"), then it's going to become indistinguishable from Twitter.

And yes, 99 percent of it will be recycled "talking points". Almost all political content on social media (which is what this place is) is derivative.

Yes, all of us know that Trump was convicted last week. All of us know that Joe Biden would be 86 at the end of a second term. We're all aware of the arguments for and against both candidates. We hear them constantly.

The content of the Octagon is loosely defined. But it should probably have at least a tangential connection to the hobby in Cincinnati.

For example, I have *not* been seeing many providers lately because of the low quality and high prices. I sometimes post my general reactions to the local market here. I try to minimize that in the venue-specific threads, because I know the guys there are looking for specific information.

But I wouldn't post a movie review here. I wouldn't talk about long-distance running here. I wouldn't talk about lawn care, or the Trotsky-Stalinist split in the former USSR.

I went through something like this on my personal Facebook feed following the 2020 election. Everyone's feed became a mess of (highly repetitive) political talking points. Trump, Trump, Biden, Biden. Abortion! The border! LGBTQ indoctrination in schools!

There was lots of unfriending and people leaving Facebook altogether.

My friends who are left on Facebook largely don't rant about politics anymore.

I saw once where LEO used a house they had rented to run a sting. I have seen news reports where police have used houses to run stings for catching those perverts looking for children. So yes they do it.

Yes AMPs are safer but they have to catch you in the act so even if it is raided the lady should be able to hid it soon in time. They might make you stay to answer questions.

A house where you don't control the environment can be as dangerous as a hotel room where you don't control the environment. But those are both examples of incall. (Incall is when you, the hobbyist, travel to a location that the provider is using to see multiple clients.).

Outcall is at the *hobbyist's* house. If a provider comes to my house, I can a.) be sure that there is no one lurking in another room to roll me or arrest me, and b.) I can verify that 5 undercover police cars have not been parked nearby.

This doesn't mean that outcall at your residence is perfect, or that there aren't legitimate concerns with it. And it's pretty much off the table for married guys. But I do believe that it's harder for LE to stage a sting at *your* residence.

Most of the guys who are worried about the provider "knowing where they live" are dealing with lower-end girls, or at least that is my guess. At any rate, that is more of a concern the farther down you go on the provider food chain.

Again: there is no 100 percent safe way to hobby. It's a matter of picking the risks that you're most comfortable with, given a.) your individual situation, and b.) the types of girls you tend to see.

Actually D Nut, speaking of you, I went thru years of your work back to 2022 before I got tired. The far majority are a large political shit like this is CNN or Fox Chat board and the other are just straight observational.

Can anyone else look back and tell me when DNut here actually gave a review on a chick? Like the last time he was in the field? While I certainly do admire your history of 2800 posts, at some point you left the battlefield and like to hear yourself heard and resting on you laurels or post count.

If you actually read all my posts of the last 2 years, you would have come across some posts with me mentioning that I am currently in a relationship and don't feel the need to pay for sex. As for "your friend", who you say allegedly according to you (without proof) "thanked you", unless he actually wants his voice to count, then speak up and out. Put his name next to his words. Without that, it means nothing and carries no weight whatsoever.

Meanwhile, I see news reports every week about hobbyists getting busted in hotel stings. All those mugshots? They always come from hotel room stings.

I have *never* heard of an outcall bust at a hobbyist's private residence.

And if you're going through the verification process most of these girls are asking for, they can find out where you live anyway.

You are probably safer if you're going to an AMP, since they don't do any verification. Unless you happen to be there on the day of an LE bust.
