Back in the good ol' days (prior to Fosta and the Backpage shutdown) it was normal for a provider to ask for references which were always other providers. They mostly all knew each other. I have paid before and I have paid after. If the lady requires that I pay first I will do it if I want to continue. If not I will give her a kiss and s hug and 40 to cover the cost of her time.

If I pay before I might lose (correct spelling or word) some money or get bad service so I will not return and I will leave a bad report.

If I get good service I will return and give a good report.

I believe there is little correlation between when you pay and the service provided. I do not like paying first because of the possibility of getting in a sting. That is why it is important to stick with a good lady once you find her.
