Hmm, I've never actually tried that approach where they get the hotel in their name and I pay the difference later. Might have to give that a whirl. And yes, I too typically give them the benjamins after the deed except in the case of one regular (and that's only because I've known her since 2020). Thankfully, I've never been cash-and-dashed yet (knock-on-wood), but I definitely have had some regrets in this hobby like most.

Because of my rotten luck this year with multiple ghostings the day of, or last-minute "rules" from the newer SBs, I've just given up & stuck with previously reported ones who I know are a guaranteed good time. Saves from having to wine-and-dine, cut through the bs, and have 2 - 3 rolls in the sheets for 500 or less. Sure beats the rates, rules, and PII requests from this area's agencies with minimal risk from LE to boot.

I also was getting them. I had one public and two private photos. I added one private photo that was just an action shot of someone diving into a pool, who could be anyone, and they seem satisfied. It's idiotic, but whatever.

Also, I keep my profile hidden always, to prevent getting a bunch of messages from overseas scammers. However, I was on there lately scouting a city I will be traveling to this summer. So I went to a lot of profiles. Even though I deactivated my profile when I got off, that didn't seem to work. I came back a couple of days later, I had a bunch of new views and favorites, and even a few messsages (that I can't read, since I only pay for membership when I am really "seeking".

I've been getting the popups since I rejoined. I do not ever post any pics. Might cut down on the replies but I don't care. I'm not posting pics ever!! I just kept ignoring the popups and seems like I'm not getting any now.

I opened the conversation with a friendly intro and she was quick to respond. Wanted to move immediately to text (red flag &#128681 because she claimed she had a flight to catch.

In text, she starts with obviously canned copypasta (and likely not by a native English speaker), claiming. And this is a new one for me. That she was a "sugarmummy" as she put it and wanted me to be a dutiful companion and she would give me an allowance. LOL. I kept the conversation going out of amusement, but she just let it trickle off. I was kind of expecting an attempt to get banking info or a sudden launch into insults and threats and demands for money for "wasting her time". I think once the person on the other end realized my texting number was a dead-end they just gave up.

A red flag for me (among many) is when there's a picture with another person in it. I have to assume that the other person has no idea that her "friend" has taken it upon herself to post her picture on Seeking.
