The real key, is to read the reviews for the providers. If someone gets mostly positive reviews from trusted / senior members, then you should take notes. Providers with no reviews are a roll of the dice. Once you do your homework, and have a few potential providers in mind, you need to get verified. Don't wait for the last minute. You need to do this a week or two, in advance. References from LA or San Diego are probably best, but references from NYC, PHL, ORD, MIA should be able to get you in the door.
