No joke, a lot of them will chat initially, but then eventually look at your profile and make sure your self-reported net worth and income are both at least $10,000,000 or greater. If not, you're unfortunately considered a "waste of time" and immediately blocked. Take it as a blessing.

The same has happened to me plenty of times. They don't seem to understand that a having real job often means you're not free 24/7 to respond to them. I assume any woman who takes offense at such a tiny slight is probably a drama queen who I'm better off not meeting.

Think of it like this. Most of them nowadays at their age don't use the phone call feature on their phone anymore. So to them a message or text is equivalent to your phone call. So if they don't get a reply right away. They will assume you hung up. Especially if they're using the app and can see that you read the message. To you and me we would probably drop everything for a phone call to answer it. But probably not a text. We would read it and reply whenever. But to them the text / message is our phone call.

Yes. They are that impatient. They’re probably never had to wait for a package. Don’t have to wait for a certain day or time to watch the next episode. Wait for a letter in the mail. Wait until they have time to goto the library to research something. Even wait for their parents to come home while growing up to give them a ride somewhere. Heck even most of the stuff they buy can be delivered the same day. Their level of patience in real life is going to match that because they’ve never had to built that patience.
