The majority of "state" streets are located east of Grand Ave. Try watch news instead of cartoons, if there's a street crime in south St. Louis, most of the time it's on "Texas, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Virginia, etc By the way most of the neighborhoods around Tower Grove Park pay for extra security. To put it short and sweet NEVER EVER provide I'd, Linkedin, or business cards with your name on them to a criminal. Giving a provider is fine but don't lose everything including your freedom. Sure they erase it, sure it hasnt happened yet but it is a bad idea. Please be careful guys. I have seen guys drivers license information posted online and it is not worth it. For me: Not everyone needs references. I think It's a good idea to still offer them and always do so during any intro.

Simply say, "I'm happy to also provide references if needed" and leave it at that.

Usually even if a provider doesn't need references, it assures them you're serious and not problematic. At end of day, you're still dealing with people that have likely a 50:1 ratio meaning 50 guys (or gals) wanting to patronize each top provider any given week or month. They already have their regulars also. Having references seems to help or even merely offering them shows youre willing to put a provider at ease.

Some guys are put off by reference requests. I actually prefer providers that ask for references, as we as a community do the same on any provider. It breaks the ice and seems to insure professionalism on both sides. I personally will never understand why more providers don't ask for at least one reference or any small form of verification. The more a provider has her act together, the better it is for all. The verification is a slippery slope for many..
