There's definitely risk. I contracted gonorrhea once in roughly 30 or so BBFS encounters. After that I only had a few more, and I've been mostly retired for about 2 years now.

One of the problems is STIs, like gonorrhea, are asymptomatic in most women, so unless they get tested regularly they can have it and not know it. The risk probably isn't massive, but if you aren't willing to accept it you should probably carefully consider if BBFS is really for you.
