I suspect this practice originates from their Korean operations, in which they collect personal I'd information on each client, which is shared across the different agencies. Since it is surmised that a majority of Korean males use these services, the database is quite extensive. From their perspective, I can see that they need some information as a safety / security check for LE and misbehaving customers.

What are they getting by asking for personal info. I have monger friends who will never give up that info under any circumstances. Two are very well paying clients. One pays rediculous amounts for greek. Not my thing but each their own.
