Those are valid points. However, I think there are other things going on behind the scenes. If you look at the link I posted from the Washington section and read that fuzzy thumbnail, you will see an example. I think that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Everything you guys are saying is absolutely true. But that is not price fixing or collusion. Reacting to what your competitors do, reacting to market forces, are all things competitors can and should be doing. But that doesn't mean they're organized colluding with each other.

Whether or not the providers are colluding or not is irrelevant. (Side note. I think your misogyny is showing by thinking they aren't "smart enough" to work together.) And, your post appears to be dissuading us pooners from working together, so who's the smart ones again? The bottom line is we are the consumers and therefore we drive the market. Theoretically anyway. All I am suggesting is that we flex our consumer strength and bring about some changes in the local market to align with what many of us are seeing in other markets. And speaking of prices, it is insane how much some of these people ask for. One of my friends, she sent me a picture of a message she got. I generally disagree. I workout and used to buy chicken thighs at 1. 99 per lb 2-3 years ago. Currently chicken thighs are 7. 99 lb at my local new seasons. Chicken thighs cost what salmon would sometimes cost like 2 years ago which is crazy. I went to the store yesterday and some stuff that would have cost maybe 30 bucks 1-2 years ago is now 55-60 bucks.

Prices with escorts are probably up about 100 per hour on average. I research escorts I plan to see very intensely to thoroughly vet them, and go through lots of their old postings and you can see how things change over time. Blondetabatha wants 450 per hour today, and wanted 350 per hour 1 year ago and 2 years before that wanted 300 per hour. However it is what it is. Eventually the market will correct itself (my understanding is prices came down quite a bit with the COVID recession to absolute bargain basement levels). There's also probably a recession right around the corner which will drive prices down as well. But right now the price increases are to cover general cost of life increases these ladies have to manage (they have kids, rent, bills, etc and like all of us the cost of living has gone up for obvious reasons). If they keep the price the same, then they have to increase volume which is not desirable either for most of us. Most of these ladies really don't have their life stuff together in general (thus why they are escorts and strippers and not high priced lawyers) and with higher volumes you have more ghosting, distracted bad service, complaints, etc etc with a group of ladies who in my opinion are generally pretty disorganized and flakey at baseline. That's probably the thing that disgusts me the most of about this hobby: its not the risk of disease or getting arrested (both of which seem pretty low if you approach it smartly), its the damn flakiness of these "alleged" businesswomen. If real businesses were that flaky, they'd be out of business in 10 seconds.

On a more silly note, I also kind of have been insulated from the price adjustments because prior I would always tip 50 to 100 dollars anyway. Now I just don't tip...
