Sorry that happened to you man. We make such a big deal about racism in the US but honestly most other cultures are worse. I see more racism in Asian, middle easter, Eastern European, and some Latino communities more that others.

Been in this for eight years maybe more. Never give a deposit ever unless the lady's reputation is stellar. I know several ladies who do require a deposit, but they've been around 4-6 years and are the real deal. Anyone new no way. There's too many quality options that don't require a deposit which is easy tracked or stolen.

Anybody asking for a gift card over the phone is a scammer. The reason people ask for gift cards and then ask you to read them over the phone is because you can use them online and they're unrefundable and untraceable. They will use them before you even realize you got scammed. Never pay with a gift card over the phone!
