Your friend specifying an Ebay or Zelle card could be (legit?) if you are physically giving her the card (s) at her location; that's a risk that could be rewarded. I am no expert; I have always said cash is king. I would be very tentative about giving gift card information to a provider prior to meeting; that's just plain stupidity and just yells scam. On other hand I had one experience where a west coast high end well reviewed traveling (non-stg) provider said cash is ok but preferred gift card (s). She told me if I did gift card option, she said she would make it worth my while and extend our time out past hourly rate. She told me to get the type of transferable visa gift card (s) which CVS had and show her the sales receipt time stamped with in the hour prior to our appointment. Which I did. When I got to her location, I was curious and asked why the gift card? You will be wasting your time in getting the card, then driving to the location, she will then ask for the code from the card before you come in to meet so she can then transfer the funds to her account leaving you ripped off and sitting there dumbfounded. Trust me, typical scam. That's why they always ask for those specific cards.
