About 11-12 years ago I met this welfare mom with a few kids. She would bring the kids over and they were surprisingly well behaved. I'd feed them and be nice. One asked if I was going to marry their mom and be their dad. Wow, that broke my heart. The mom was hooked on pills and would show up a lot while the kids were in school.
