Style, I largely agree with that. But there ARE exceptions. There are certain providers that I've raw-dogged in the past, but who will now no longer put out a raw fuck for ANY amount of money. At least one of those is indeed still active in RI.

The only ones I've ever personally come across who have the requirement to use a real number are Destiny and Mandy. For both of them, I don't worry about it. They've established themselves as trustworthy. But I use a VOIP app for 99% of my mongering, and it's rarely ever an issue.

Like Bob said only a couple of providers have issues with VOIP but after reaching out to them on a real line and seeing them, both have been OK with me moving it to a burner app #. If you have an android based phone, you can setup do not disturb / notification settings for different times of the day if you need to keep things on a lower profile. In my mind. Having a 2nd burner phone is shadier than another random messaging app but that's just me.

Yeah, I had one of those back in the day too. But it's much easier these days to just use a free texting app. Free, much easier to switch numbers if you need to, and if you're concerned about keeping it hidden from an S / O, you can just uninstall the app when you're not using it. No need to find a spot to hide a second phone.
