Come on night! Get with it man. I was being sarcastic! Mainly because of your "no need to fuck with a sound business model" statement. Maybe you are satisfied and don't mind driving all over the Atlanta metro area day after day to find the same aging faces recycling from shop to shop?

Not me! I think that approach absolutely sucks! And accordingly, I was simply praising Ms. Wang for her creative approach of attempting to acquire new talent. It worked! Now all of us just need to sit back and see if any of those beauties can transition into the world of Atlanta massage shops. Time will tell.

Everyone wants hot parlors everywhere but those times are long gone. If you want to compare the parlor scene today with just 6 years ago, there is no comparison. As I said, time will tell if ML can maintain their talent level. Plan to stop by next week to check it out.

I've been to ML a few times and never bothered to get the persons name since the talent is better than other places. This time around, I got her name. Monica. She was great with the massage and did a very sensual HE. No rush to it at all. Got the full hour. OTC bottom and UTC top. They just raised their price tk $70/ hr.

Anyone gotten 4 hand here? What do you usually tip for 4 hand in general?

LOL I guess I am somewhat jaded (and turned off) or biased by so many dirty, old shops that often makes me wonder how they ever pass building code inspections and all the "senior citizen" staffs that look more like an AARP Sign-Up than an appealing lineup of attractive young women!

Actually, I do know several shop owners and enjoy those conversations. But, they all have younger, attractive girls than what I was referring to. It just seems like day after day on this site, so many guys are constantly chatting about and pursuing aging and unattractive women that receive considerable $$$ in relationship to their assets and services provided.

Hopefully, Atlanta can become a desired destination once again for massage and spa workers!

My experience is the opposite, the owners I've known both Chinese and Korean work hard to rotate girls from places like New York periodically, sure they have their "staff" girls but often used to try to bring in fresh talent, but ever since the shootings girls from other areas don't want to come to Atlanta, it's got a bad reputation in the massage world. Had a long conversation with the owner of IYV on Cheshire bridge about 6 months after the shooting, she used to rotate in a NY girl every few months and send the old one back, then none of the girls from the north would come anymore, that's not an isolated shop it's actually very common. While we may not think about the shooting every time we go to a shop, they still talk about it. A few months back I was in Las Vegas and went to a parlor, they asked where I was from, I told them and they immediately were like "oh girls get killed there, not safe place."

Very true, this was news that went worldwide, they won't forget about it anytime relatively soon.

I never suggested that ML or any other parlor cruises Greyhound stations looking for talent. Many CAMP girls answer online ads in China, get over here, and move from city to city doing massages until they can become independent. If they become legal and established, they're free to go and work where they please. Why would a model-quality woman be desperate enough to work at a CAMP? Seems they'd have better options. At the very least, they could find a Chinese or American sugar daddy to take care of them.

If it was easy to hire and retain young, hot girls then all the shops would do it. It's not. The talent pool in ATL is thin. In fact, it's thin in most major cities in the US with very few exceptions. Go look at the boards in other cities and mongers complain about all the owls working.

We will see what ML looks like in a year. Hopefully they find a way to retain talent.

I totally agree. Massage Legend is the flavor of the month and I hope they can maintain good talent. Just wish the shop was closer to me!

We had some great AMP"s in Clayton County from the '80's through the early 20's until they were driven out by Victor Hill.

Magic Hands,

Felt like getting a massage since its been more than a week. Figured, I head back to Adore since I had a good experience.

As I was heading down Buford Hwy, I checked on the several location and thinking maybe I check out another spot?

Upon pulling into Adore I noticed the lot looked pretty full, so figured why even stop. Heading back up Buford Hwy I once again checked the AMPs.

Along the way and saw Magic Hands. Looked pretty busy as I passed but wanted to drive by some others first.

When I circled back the lot was pretty empty. So, I pull in.

2 MT were smoking up a storm sitting on the curb but, When I started walking to the door they quickly jumped up and one opened the door.

Noticing the pups in the tight top and the welcoming me in to the room I figured this would be my MT.

No talk of time or payment just the regular get undressed and face down on the table. She leaves and I'm there for 5 minutes then the door opens.

Turns out I get another MT Susan.

She is easily in the 60's has a smokers voice (yes, was out at the curb smoking) kind of a turn off, but away we go.

We went through the regular Q&A been here before, how long massage you want. She kept pushing for the 90 I took 60, hard / soft, etc.

She gives a pretty good massage if only she didn't spend 20 minutes on my right and 5 on the left?

Nice taint massage, Baja Sur and ass work (not PM) then she says something in broken English and is gone.

6 minutes waiting in the room. I didn't realize I was about to get some hot oil and stones, felt good, then towel and flip.

She ask me about the scalp massage? I gesture to my little buddy and she said No! DYI and drops some oil.

On my buddy. I'm like? So, I touch and gesture her hand to go ahead. So, we started to working together.

Until I let her do it. Boy, talking about fast motion I had to slow it down thought it was machine like. UTC top ok, UTC bottom not worth it, pop then clean.

She continued on with the massage legs, feet and I asked about the scalp and realized the time, she said no worry free.

Went over about 15 minutes, which was nice.

Got dressed and headed out to pay. She was washing some items in a sink, I walked over and handed her a tip 6.

I thought I gave her wip-lash when she looked at the tip? She assumed, I was paying the house fee.

I didn't know to give the house and tip to her. So, 6/6 OTD.

Masseuses are transient across the board, whether in AMPs or in a legit shop like Massage Envy. It's not because of closed minded owners or a reluctance to modernize. It's because of the nature of the job and the kind of people it attracts. Not really sure how many owners you know, but the vast majority are not trolling stations and shelters to get workers. The traditional mode is classified advertising and word of mouth. And in Asian culture (like American culture), rub and tug massage shops are not the kind of employers most women like to tell their friends and family about.

Due to the nature of the business, Chinese (and to a lesser extent, Korean) culture is ideal for a business operating on the fringes of LE. For example, therapeutic massage more or less was invented in China. The Chinese culture is secretive and naturally averse to government. The list goes on and on. The industry will be slow to change because it works well this way.

Hats off to ML for stepping out and trying to change things. Other shops are following as well.
