Let's not go all white knight making Steve out to be a "pimp". Even if he was getting 50 percent from his girls, with hotels, and other cost, he was not profiting much. Not only that, but he also now is finding out when it goes south, he's the one who stands to be made an example out of, and dealt real jail time. Whereas independent providers would rarely get jail time if drugs weren't involved. The "freebies" he may have gotten from the girls were probably his only real payment. So yeah. If I was putting my neck out doing something like he was, you better believe I woulda been requiring weekly freebies. It's hard to do what Steve did, and turn a profit. He's also the one taking the risk of being the "bad guy" who will be publicly shamed and jailed. The only real way to make money in this hobby is to have no overhead. Like being an independent and doing outcalls only. Or being a street walker. True "pimps" don't get hotels. Or use their info to rent rooms. They put girls on the street and beat the crap out of him. I actually looked into doing something like what Steve did and it just didn't add up to me. Unless I was taking 60 percent or more, and getting regular freebies, it would have been hard to view it as profitable.

Definitely not a favorite of mine, but I'm sick that this happened to him. I'm a live and let live type of girl, I just chose not to be friends with him but I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Start at the beginning. Steve does his own advertising / recruiting / tryouts and sets the terms with all the women. Those things added up are enough self incriminating evidence to get any County Prosecutor to bring charges. I wouldnt expect anyone else to be charged. But I would expect additional charges for the plaintiff.

Just relax. The only one they care about is Steve, because under current society, he is the one trafficking the escorts, so he is the bad guy. If memory serves me it is a year in jail for him. I suspect they may try to contact the escorts he managed over the years, but since most are addicts, they will not be great witnesses. If any of the escorts (currently or in the past) have charges, they will see if they will testify against him in lieu of dropping their charges. They may actually wait to see if they can arrest any of the past escorts he had, and then see if they can turn them against him.

All they care about is pinning Steve into a corner to agree to a plea deal. In the end they just want schedulers to be out of business, and to get the free press an arrest gives them.

As one Forum user mentioned, he seems to have paid for some motel rooms. if that is the case they may contact hotel managers to see if they have him on camera paying for rooms. that's the kind of thing that locks him in as the scheduler and fits the elements of the law he has broken. They will grab his bank records and he will have to explain where the money came from. They may see who paid for his web site. They may try to see who owns the phone number he uses for appointments. Any communications between him and the escorts will be used against him. They may want to threaten him with the loss of property he bought from illegal proceeds. They just want all that kind of stuff to present to him, to show they have him, to get him to agree to a plea deal.

In the last ten years they have run all the schedulers I remember out of business, and an arrest like this reminds anyone else considering the job, to think twice.
