Initially women had no rights. Even if they were abused in a marriage or at work or anywhere else, they had little recourse and that was wrong. Now it seems the exact opposite is happening, there are soo many protections (and there should be. Don't get me wrong) that due process is completely ignored. Where is the balance here? I mean I am not asking for superiority. I am just asking for the courts to view me as an equal when making some of these decisions that involve marriage, divorce and kids. It is very sad because I know society and the law basically wants to do the right thing protect social liberties. But clearly they / we are struggling to find balance. Thousands of fathter want to do the right thing and take care of their children and are sometimes the better choice for raising the kids, but the system is designed to be inherently bais towards the mother (which is should be in most cases). A balanced, common-sense reform is needed so drastically.
