I also would have bailed but I would not have thought posting about it would help anyone else or for the reasons I mentioned that it had anything to do with her. The reason for my post was to see from the OP's perspective what he thought might have been going on and maybe I could have learned something. Long before this became a topic here I reached out to her via email to get verified and ask some questions. No answer. I forgot about it for a few weeks and then reached out again reminding her of my previous email. No answer.
