If you plan to use Uber you should plan it out in advance. Find stores near where the places are you're going. There's a lot of business and restaurants open here day and night. I have a vehicle but sometimes still Uber or leave my vehicle and Uber (I'm one incident from having a breathalyzer installed in my car).

Map out your evening beforehand. Sometimes Lyft will let you preschedule rides too.
