The simpler explanation is that he had a sexual addiction and this was his way of attacking it. I think someone has to go through more mental gymnastics to prove this was racially-motivated. If it was racially-motivated why did he kill one Hispanic male customer and one white female customer? Yes, white female. She was there with her husband for a couples massage. Let me put it this way. If the massage parlors were exactly the same but filled with Russians instead of Asians, would he have still shot everybody inside? If the answer is yes, then race is not the motivating factor.

From the indications so far, the answer to that question would have been yes.
