I agree that merely having a phone no in her phone proves nothing. The idea they have to "catch you in the act" is demonstrably false. This has been mentioned a few times before, but in the somewhat famous Beaver Dam case a few years ago they charged the gal with 29 misdemeanor counts and 3 felonies, and charged 12 or 14 men (I forget the exact number) with 29 matching misdemeanor counts, ALL based on phone, computer and written records, and ALL for things that took place 1-3 years previously. Everyone plead guilty. Furthermore, for almost all police stings, there is no "act". Its all charged based on agreeing to pay for a sex act, no act necessary.

I know some guys get annoyed when a provider won't tell exactly what she'll do and for how much prior to meeting. However frustrating that is, it can be a legitimate effort to not say something that could trigger charges if the communication every falls into the hands of LE. Understand the confusion. A search on maps. google.com shows the motels located as they actually are: Port south of SS and Mid Point north of SS. Addresses are "West Appleton Ave. " which makes it even more confusing considering that SS runs E-W and Appleton is pretty much north-S.

Both places look rather placid during the day. I had occasion to go to Mid Point late hours on a summer night to rescue a girl. HOLY SHIT MOTHER OF GOD WHAT A SCENE! Place was like an anthill with activity. Looked like something from "Cops" or "Live PD". People, cars, guys standing around outside on their phones. All AA, of course, and here's Old White Guy, way out of his element. AA dude pulls up next to my "poised for exit" car and asks what I'm doing there. Walmart or Best Buy. I have an el-cheapo Nokia that I bought at Best Buy and I buy minutes from Net 10 at $25/1000 minutes /30 days, no contract. I buy the minutes on-line so I don't know if the same deal is available on the cards in stores.

I had a flip phone before the current one and really liked it. More convenient to flip it open instead of having to push 2 buttons to unlock the screen before any function. And I didn't have to worry as much about damage. Wish I could find another that would take Net10.

Hey DM. You may want to use a little more caution when purchasing your minutes. If you purchase them online, you will leave a credit card trail. You can go into WalMart and buy cards with cash to load into your phone. I know that someone will say that they can track the card purchase back to the store and probably pull up a picture of you buying the cards. Lying to lLE is a crime, and if they don't like you or think you are making fun of them or if their ego gets bruised, there are cops that will use all of their investigative powers and try to hem you up. Stupidest thing you can do is offer a statement or answer their questions. Charged with misdemeanors. No lawyer needed if you don't cooperate with their investigation.
