I spent about 20 years in Merritt Island, the Checker's is on North Courtenay Pkwy, a little north of 520. That is the heart of Merritt Island and most definitely not "considered Cocoa Beach"! To be very close to Cocoa Beach, you'd have to be well east on 520, or maybe even 528, though that's more like Cape Canaveral rather than Cocoa Beach. As to behind Checker's, there are several old residential areas, I'm guessing she's back in there. For anyone looking to meet with her though, just know that you're going to the central part of MI and you'd likely have to travel via Courtenay Pkwy and maybe 520.
