You are just wrong. First, it isn't the flu. Second COVID deaths are counted the way all other deaths are tallied. Third, COVID is WAY more contagious than the flu. The test? How useful? Someone gets a test on Monday and is exposed later that afternoon. . . They can pass it on before they have any symptoms, and that's assuming they have any symptoms.

Or they get a test on Monday, they get the results on Wednesday, but on Tuesday they were exposed. . . So they have a negative test on Wednesday but they become infectious on Thursday. . . What good was the test?

A test can take an hour or so out of a person's day, even a drive-through test. Realistically, these gals are not going to go testing themselves every day or every other day. Think they're going to invest the money for the test ($80 or more), not to mention the time?

As the previous poster said, the best thing you can do. Whether they tell you they had a test or not. Is wear YOUR mask (this is not the time for DATY, however much you want to) and ask the lady to wear hers as much as possible. I know of one provider who kept pulling her mask down, or lowering it below her nose, until I told her straight out that if she wasn't willing to keep her mask on I wasn't going to come back again to see her. She kept her mask on.

Look, I realize most of the posts here aren't exactly from the feminist angle. May I suggest you offer to pay her way on the test and transportation to / from a testing ctr. Thanks for the feedback, gents--I think you're quite right here. I've actually asked most providers in the past few months if they've been tested, and they claim to be negative, and so far I haven't caught it. But yeah, if a provider is *refusing* to get tested, as I said in the OP, then it ain't worth the risk. I appreciate everyone's perspectives (except for the COVID deniers LOL).

Just out of curiosity, would you actually believe a worker who claims she has been tested? And that the result came back negative? Would she admit if it was positive? And assuming any of it were true, wouldn't it become unreliable the moment she sees another client?
