Posts: 5021Update: the umpire has pleaded not guilty. Be careful, guys: "According to an arrest report obtained by USA Today, (the umpire) allegedly responded by phone to an online ad posted by authorities under the name 'Kandi'. The umpire allegedly expressed an interest 'in sexual activity for hire with Kandi' and agreed to meet at a motel in Youngstown, Ohio. There, he was arrested".

Right on point Sensei Red. Hard to fathom, but sad in our times. All about the mighty Dollar, still waiting for when we should go to world currency of the Euro?

Posts: 783But it seems they think that human trafficking is only about prostitution and nothing to do about with Fishermen, farm laborers, or garment workers being held against their will. If it is legal to have fishermen, and farm workers, how is it that prostitution must be illegal in order to prevent human trafficking? I don't follow their logic.

Posts: 5021Recently, I was reading several news reports about a longtime major league baseball umpire and thirteen other men being arrested in an internet prostitution sting operation in Ohio. The names and mugshots of all those men were then posted on the internet, even though the men are supposed to be presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
What's especially repulsive is the Ohio Attorney General claiming that the sting operation was to reduce demand for "human trafficking," even though (1) the men were only charged with misdemeanor offenses, not with any involvement in human trafficking, and (2) none of the news reports stated that the persons posing as prostitutes were represented to potential customers as anything other than consenting adults. Once again, "human trafficking" is used as the all-purpose "bogeyman" term to attempt to justify expending law enforcement time and resources on these sting operations that result in only misdemeanor charges.

Serves me, she graduated HS in 93/94 from a school in CA. Common work friends of our past so, I think Grace is 42-43? She is a little older than a girl I was seeing who worked in the same circle at the News station.

Posts: 559Stacey Kane could be right about her age though. She's the typical Asian, could be older but looks younger.

Posts: 559Don't know exactly but Grace got to be in her 30's when you add up after her finishing college and working in the business for 13+ years (mainland and Hawaii). Seen her at Nocturna Lounge a few years ago, she was tipsy / drunk and sat next to me near the gaming lounge area next to the bar.
I agree though, Grace and Kelly are both attractive.

Yes it's all true. How many providers do you think can honestly say they love the work and every guy they have met has treated them exactly how they wanted to be treated? I think speaking for myself, it's definitely contributed to my jaded outlook on love, relationships, trust, honesty, and marriage. Also, I've been told in the past by Some guys they use the AMPs or indie providers as a way to act out their fantasies without being arrested. If that doesn't creep you out.

This guy sounds like he's got a few screws loose up there. Thankfully you weren't injured and I'm surprised he hasn't snapped and hurt more people before. Sadly I lost faith in our judicial system in Hawaii. If he's rich or well connected, he's likely to get off with a slap on the wrist.

Posts: 559If what you said is true then hopefully he is proven guilty so that we get one less sociopath off the streets.
