Posts: 783But it seems they think that human trafficking is only about prostitution and nothing to do about with Fishermen, farm laborers, or garment workers being held against their will. If it is legal to have fishermen, and farm workers, how is it that prostitution must be illegal in order to prevent human trafficking? I don't follow their logic.

Posts: 5128Recently, I was reading several news reports about a longtime major league baseball umpire and thirteen other men being arrested in an internet prostitution sting operation in Ohio. The names and mugshots of all those men were then posted on the internet, even though the men are supposed to be presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
What's especially repulsive is the Ohio Attorney General claiming that the sting operation was to reduce demand for "human trafficking," even though (1) the men were only charged with misdemeanor offenses, not with any involvement in human trafficking, and (2) none of the news reports stated that the persons posing as prostitutes were represented to potential customers as anything other than consenting adults. Once again, "human trafficking" is used as the all-purpose "bogeyman" term to attempt to justify expending law enforcement time and resources on these sting operations that result in only misdemeanor charges.

Serves me, she graduated HS in 93/94 from a school in CA. Common work friends of our past so, I think Grace is 42-43? She is a little older than a girl I was seeing who worked in the same circle at the News station.

Posts: 561Stacey Kane could be right about her age though. She's the typical Asian, could be older but looks younger.

Posts: 561Don't know exactly but Grace got to be in her 30's when you add up after her finishing college and working in the business for 13+ years (mainland and Hawaii). Seen her at Nocturna Lounge a few years ago, she was tipsy / drunk and sat next to me near the gaming lounge area next to the bar.
I agree though, Grace and Kelly are both attractive.

Yes it's all true. How many providers do you think can honestly say they love the work and every guy they have met has treated them exactly how they wanted to be treated? I think speaking for myself, it's definitely contributed to my jaded outlook on love, relationships, trust, honesty, and marriage. Also, I've been told in the past by Some guys they use the AMPs or indie providers as a way to act out their fantasies without being arrested. If that doesn't creep you out.

This guy sounds like he's got a few screws loose up there. Thankfully you weren't injured and I'm surprised he hasn't snapped and hurt more people before. Sadly I lost faith in our judicial system in Hawaii. If he's rich or well connected, he's likely to get off with a slap on the wrist.

Posts: 561If what you said is true then hopefully he is proven guilty so that we get one less sociopath off the streets.

He is a sociopath. He has the ability to be polite to a fault and very well spoken. Behind closed doors, he's a bit scary. I've seen him go from a great dinner conversationalist, controlling and not respecting boundaries in the bedroom, to nearly flipping out at ala Moana's parking structure going up to the top floor chasing someone who cut him off and Blocking the guys car off and trying to go and idk what do something to an elderly man who's driving a POS Toyota and this psychopath in his white Mercedes suv. He after goes back to being super polite like nothing happened. Scary! This was when he live at Iolani court plaza. He's stumbling into golden spa once "intoxicated" at 2 or 3 am and after an odd and chilling encounter a few years prior I ceased communication. When I told him "mike it's Kayla from seeking" his demeanor changed in a snap to standing up right and speaking clear and calmly, not like his swaying drunk act a minute before. He tries to get me to leave and go with him. No thanks. A year or 2 later I see him again at capitol place and he is acting disconnect from his body / thoughts. I saw him then a total 3 times and the last time he said and did something very eerie and creepy that I made up an excuse to go to my car and left something there but didn't bother trying to retrieve it.

Also, if he was taking drugs no excuses and I can guarantee no one would cut themselves up that much down there. After one or 2 slices I doubt they would continue consider how fkn painful it must be. Also wasn't there signs of struggle noted in an article? Stop defending violent rapist. It makes you as bad as them.

I hope Kaneshiro gets more than that from the feds. Our corrupt prosecutors would not do anything to any political or connected figure. We had to wait for the feds to do something. I am not going to hold my breath to see if our new one will do anything that changes that.

Seems like every four years we get talk about stolen elections. 2016 the democrats complained, this time the republicans are complaining but nobody does anything to make them fair. Unbelievable that we had just two places to go vote on the island and it made those folks wait over four hours to vote. Feel sorry for the guys in Kahuku.
I voted by mail and just used one of the many ballots that came to my place and threw the others away. No doubt that Hawaii doesn't have any problems with our elections or at least that is what is being reported.
What got me upset was that we could not get the election results from the state until after 11 pm although we could hear about who won the presidential race in Hawaii at 7 pm. I guess that made the poor folks waiting in line to vote feel good. Lucky we live Hawaii.
