Most departments are reducing concern over misdemeanor crimes. This is another good reason to always, always, always use a burner name, number, and anything else you use for contact information. I use more than one burner number.

Funny. I received something similar but not to the extreme of pictures such as you received. After the first threatening message, I replied with "LMFAO, good luck with that" and that was it. Never to be heard again. Did you use personal information? If so, they may try to tap into FB or make some attempts of blackmail.
