Great advice, heading to Wally World tonight to get a burner. I've been playing with fire for about two years now. Not smart.

This is the #1 reason to use a burner phone. Also, since the ability to take your phone number with you, phone numbers have become almost as personally identifiable as your soc number, so it's best you keep your real phone number just as protected as your real name. Go to Wally World and get a burner phone and a prepaid card for a few bucks and save yourself time, headache and exposure. Keep it in a safe place when you're not out looking. Then it doesn't matter if it blows up.

Just bought a 20 dollar card to renew my Smart Tracfone. Now it's good until April.

I rarely use the minutes because I have TextNow phone app, everything works great and free on WiFi.
Tracfone let's you carry over minutes and Data, as long as you don't let it expire.

I actually had to tell this person to stop texting me; when that didn't work, I had to block her. Like, downright scary for a fairly new hobbyist. Anyway, I've added the text thread image, please make note of the number and proceed with caution.

Or download Textfree, turn OFF the notifications, and select "Hide Apps" in your phone (as well as password lock it with a Power Battery Saver app). The first option is much safer, but if you can't get a new phone without getting caught at home, the second option saves a lot of headaches when it comes to ignoring spamming providers.
