She did send a pic with my name and date on it so she's real. Maybe no actual intention of ever meeting possibly, but the not asking for money directly to her, or gift cards at all makes me think small chance it's legit.

I've encountered it from SB's in several cities in my 4 years in the bowl.

Always the same story. Burner / flip phone, controlling husband, promises to send pics / naughty phone calls if she only had more minutes.

Fell for it once, disputed charge with CC company -- cell phones, travel and gift cards are top fraudulent purchases -- so she go her minutes, only cost me waiting for a new card.

I had a similar story from a woman about four months ago. We never got to the "fill my phone" point. But yes on the controlling husband thing, etc. She actually wanted PPM to get herself nice clothes, because hubby didn't give her an allowance to do that. And while the PPM was reasonable (I forgot how much), it just seemed too weird (wouldn't he ask about new clothes?

Did you refill the minutes and is that trusted link? Idk if it's the same profile but I talked to one who said she doesn't have enough minutes and will need help to recharge. That smelled like scam so I didn't even bother responding to her. Think of possibilities, your CC / Bank / identity can be stolen with a phishing link; if she is genuine, she maybe after just those few bucks. I came across girls asking for just $20 for food! They don't have any intention of meeting you in person. My 2 c.
