I went to Villa Spa on a recommendation and had one of my worst experience in a Thai joint. The masseuse was chubby and not into it at all, massage was very average and her HE reluctant, with no access. Why pay more for that?

Leche, I think you just got dealt a bad beat at Villa based on reviews and word of mouth. I do seem to remember one review on RM reporting a negative experience with a chub not typical of their staff.

I can't recall a Susan at Sawadi (if you're referring to the long closed TMP that was on SMB near Virgil) or Thai Hi. But IME, Thai Hi has the girls well trained to give you accurate information about any specific girl you call for. They'll honestly tell you if she works there and her schedule most of the time. That is if they even answer the phone which they don't when all the girls are busy with customers.

Oh yeah let me add 4 b. Never carry more money than you're willing to spend. Some mongers have reported some chicks will even downright go through your wallet. If you a going to an unreviewed MP, or one of those you see on ad sites but not on rubmaps, I would leave wallet and credit card at home or in car. Thefts and robberies are rare but do happen.
i remember there was a latina massage that advertised on BP a lot, in downey on firestone and lakewood, i think operating at that creepy motel near in and out burger. places like that. park far away and walk there too. i generally avoid these places unless reviewed. as a newbie, stay away from these places.

I actually went to that place a handful of times, parked right in front on the street and walked up to the door. It was somebody's home with the front bedroom turned into a "massage" room. The one location I can recommend because 2 extremely reliable sources have been recommending it to me, is Villa Spa. Beverly Drive near Pico. Across from a Marriott. I will try it for sure very soon, but the word is they feature hot Thai providers who do excellent massage and HE. Looks like the entry fee is $20-30 higher than most rub and tugs, but tips are going rate though you can expect some of the girls to ask for the higher end of going rate ($50-60). Don't know if its worth it, but for me, probably so especially with reduction in options closer to where I live.

There's a few spots mostly along Robertson that I'm hearing about. Extremely high priced for storefronts but mostly top tier Thai girls working. You may end up paying $200 for a basic HE but the redemption may be that these are not standard storefront MPs. The girls are independent and rent their own rooms, and when they trust you I'm told that they'll make themselves available for OTC. Who knows. But good source. You'll have to research to find them (they're all on RM) and get the addresses since I haven't been and probably won't be exploring beyond Villa anytime soon.

Based on reviews and word of mouth, I'm hearing good things about the higher rent Beverly Hills joints, but I haven't made it out there yet. Of the Thai spots I frequent, I can recommend Tara Thai in K-Town (known on the boards by its old name "Thai Hi") - mix of older and younger gals who can bring it from both ends
