That is a civilian scanner, not a police radio. Available on Amazon or Radio Shack before they shut down. I have one. Maybe she uses it to listen for busts. Some people like to listen to Emergency bands and Nascar pit crew communications.

Taylor isn't a cop and has been around for a while. She previously posted on BP prior to it's demise. At that time she posted her location as being in Walton, KY.
