I would imagine more is spent on crack than heroin. While heroin is a little more addictive than crack, it is cheaper and it's effects last longer. One is more likely to overdose and die from heroin than crack, but crack is far more traumatic to the various body systems than heroin is. If a loved one is taking care of a heroin addict, or else they are highly functional, they can generally live until their seventies sans contraction of disease.

In terms of addiction, meth is supposed to be the most addictive; in terms of what percentage of addicts are able to kick the habit, nothing is as devastating as meth, which ironically is the cheapest of the three.

I never knew the amount spent on the habit on a given day, I suppose it's similar if the addiction is crack. I suspect the majority of the SW's do both H and crack. Another unsettling thought: That's a lot of dick sucking each and every day!

I hit the loop this morning and on my second pass on National I scooped a 26-year old named Paige. Thin, mid-length blonde hair who looked good from 30 feet away. She got in and I could smell that I had made a mistake. Also, based on what I saw on her left arm and back of her neck, I thought she may have narrowly escaped a fire.
