I wrote the original review. I am very reluctant to give details given the current climate. One thing I can say: if you want a simply therapeutic massage--and there is nothing wrong with that -- you don't need to go to this site, or any site that has focuses on adult services. You can go to Yelp and key in your neighborhood. There are plenty of therapeutic massage places around the DMV, and some of them are very good.

Since the BP and CL shutdowns, quite a few (mostly substandard) escort sites have tried to take up the slack. Liveescortreviews is currently scraping their content from cityxguide, but nothing comparable has happened for massage. Some FBSM providers are posting on escort sites and some have moved over to legit sites like massageanywhere. But that leaves an unfilled gap in the market because many sensual bodyrub ladies don't like either of those options. With the BP and CL therapeutic sections, "extra" masseuses could advertise next to legit ones and leave it to knowledgeable clients to figure things out.

If anyone puts up a massage-specific site that doesn't overtly sell the sex angle, they should do pretty good business because that market is currently underserved. And that would give Liverubreviews someplace to draw content from rather than staying frozen on April 6th.

Now all they (and we) need is an open-minded and enterprising entrepreneur.

While its sister site Live Escort Reviews regularly posts updated ads, Live Rub Reviews appears not to have updated since April 6, the day the feds seized and shut down Backpage. It's a good source if you want to go back and look up a provider's info, but it provides no information as to whether that provider is still working today.

That's the quickest way to establish your credibility and get the answers you seek. And, if you have hobby experiences of your own to share, that's also highly recommended.

I visited this spot today. Hanna was my provider, 30 year old Chinese with a slender body. She looked like she was in her early 20's but she told me she is 30.

Revisited New Blue Sky on Dorsey across from the hospital in the business park, have not been there in a long time, still the same. 5 hour (legit) massage, . 2 tip, . 7 total, enjoyable time overall, will opt out of the back walk next time and go medium instead of hard pressure, neck hurts on one side, let that relax / heal, then I plan to repeat.

Wow, talk about bad timing. The forum went down just before moving to the DC area. I had a dream that I was flying blind near the airport. Came across a site (CVX) that had a massage / rub section. Landed on this busty, private, "Thai" provider in Chantilly named Zaza Thai. She told me $. 2 for a dream and I was on my way.

When I arrived at the apt complex she sent me the APT number. When she opened the door I was relieved that it was the girl in the pictures. She led me to a nice massage room and instructed me to get comfortable. When she walked in she immediately draped me. I was concerned and it didn't get any better. She gave a legitimate but decent massage with no teasing whatsoever. At the flip she asked what I wanted and I asked for it all and she rebuffed. I settled on a HE which seemed like all she was willing to offer, no touching allowed and she remained fully dressed. She got the job done but the experience was very mechanical.

The experience was odd. She texted promptly and communicated well but hardly muttered more than a word or two in person. I speak some Thai and she had no idea what I was saying. When I asked her where she from she said Bangkok. I then asked her why she couldn't speak thai she said she left when she was young. So I then asked her where she grew up and she responded, Zurich. The whole thing was very fishy and I probably won't see her again. I def do not recommend her.

One thing that's obviously true is that "business as usual" is dead and gone. Both mongers and providers are out of their comfort zone and that means pitfalls and opportunities abound.

Some ladies have plenty of regulars, and are in higher demand, allowing them to raise prices. Others have experienced a slowdown and, with bills to pay, they're more willing to negotiate. But even those ladies will try to maintain the appearance of normality and they'll keep their "list" prices the same.

Hard negotiating will almost always get a negative response but, if you can accurately assess which kind of provider you're dealing with, a softer approach might do the trick. For example, if the ad website doesn't list prices, you can politely say that her rates are more that you're able to handle right now and apologize for taking up her time. You can also lay the blame on the absence of BP and the oThER site and she'll probably agree with you on that. At that point, if she's in the mood to deal she will probably make you an offer, which you can decide to accept or respectfully reject. Also, before hanging up I often tell the provider that I'm sure she's worth every penny but then ask her to let me know if she ever offers any kind of special. That gives her one last opportunity to make an offer.

FWIW, some ladies come right out of the gate with a lower price. I saw one (not in VA) who was asking 400 on Eros but offered me 125/250 without my even asking.

Good post. I think it's strength in numbers though. It's supply and demand on both sides but at the end of the day, they need us more than we need them. I think if you're a regular and you know the value of what you're getting, it's no need to rock the boat but for first encounters, upsell will be less tolerable in this climate. At least for me. With that said. I'm going to take my talents to a new fave in NOVA this week LOL.
