Just leaving D&B,worse experience ever, arrived and had to wait 20 min but I thought it would be worth it based off review. Look at all my post and you can tell I'm no rookie, but this was the worse experience ever, stay away if you want HE. Not happening here.

I would go one step further than Bob and say that this hobby should be treated like gambling: never play with money you don't have in hand. Between letting the desire for 'fun' dig us into a financial hole we can't get out of, and the very real problem that (in the case of an 'extras' AMP) you're dealing with a 'business' that is breaking the law, a business that might decide to steal your credit card info, using a credit card is a questionable decision. Besides, if you go in with only X amount of money, the provider can't try to negotiate you up beyond what you're willing to pay.

So cash in hand, credit card somewhere else, when you walk into an AMP.

I am sure we have all had Buyers Remorse or paid too much on at least one occasion. I know I have but that is the nature of this hobby sometimes. This past January in Orlando I overpaid and was pissed at myself after. I knew better but she caught me at a weak moment. You chalk it up to a learning experience. Disputing a charge that you were fine with at the time you signed the slip is like poor sportsmanship. If you cant deal with loosing once in a while, don't play the game.

Don't know if this has been reported yet here, but Mercy's Chinatown spa is closed. I noticed a big orange sticker placed on the door by the City of Chicago when I was in Chinatown yesterday. Yet another classic AMP bites the dust in the Windy City.

Someone ought to take this guy under their wings and explain the world to him.

For what it's worth it's probably better to use cash anyway. If the hobby becomes a compulsion and you use a credit card you can get in deep (no pun intended) pretty quickly. Don't spend what you don't have. As to the question of disputing the charge, you can probably get away with it once or twice. They have pretty good documentation (tip for Kelly) and they most likely have a video of you actually processing the charge yourself. So if the owner wants I suspect he can make a good case that the charge was authentic. I doubt that he would bother, but let's face, you did agree to the tip.

Posts: 208You agreed to the amount
Probably shouldn't have; 80 would have been more appropriate for the service, but 100 is not out of line if it had been very good. But you agreed to it. You could have said "No" or tried to negotiate. She didn't cheat you; more like you are cheating her.

This is one more reason why more women are demanding their tips before the service, since they can't trust the men to tip fairly. The next guy will probably have to tip up front also, and cash only. And now, the credit card processing service is one step closer to not accepting credit sales from this spa. Too many disputed charges raises flags and costs them money; they don't need the aggravation.

Posts: 4190I have used a credit card several times and always stood next to them to make sure they put in the right amount. I used to frequent a friends place in the west burbs and she used an IPAD with the swipping hardware attached. I watched her put in the amount every time. I used a credit card at a ho house and once again stood right there while she input the charge. With that due diligence, never an issue. You disputed the charge and your bank should have no problem only authorizing what you say. I've disputed in the past and my bank always agreed with me as they should.

So you agreed on a tip amount and because the charge took some time to be resolved you decided to take advantage of the situation and dispute the charges because you weren't satisfied with the services?

Or they delayed settlement, so I can forget.
I have never done this before, but I decided to dispute the charge for the first time in my life.
I wrote they can keep $20, but $60 is a little too much (I paid $40 cash tip before using credit card already.).
I really hope she would not ask $100 suddenly. I feel I was used for her profit.
Service was rushed and there were no interaction.
There would not be any massage or anything until this matter will be settled.

We are $55 / Hour since April. www.sunshinehealthmassage.com. Best to text before you come so you can be sure you can get a time. We honor appointments. I just wish people would come if they say they are going to come. Last week had someone reserve a couples massage and then not show up. Mei and Alice had to turn away walk-ins as we waited for the "no-shows". So call / text ahead, and if your plans change, please tell us. That's just a general comment, not aimed at you, Cat.
Meanwhile thank you for your business. Bob.
